Sound effects library, foley, ADR and field recordings are amongst the techniques used to achieve a realistic and immersive soundtrack. 

Mixing is a fine tuning process where the mixer will use audio processing, to adjust the sound's color. Mixing is also about the balance between every sound layers. At its final process, the mixer will calibrate the loudness for its appropriate export destination (TV Broadcast, Theatre, Web).
